Edward Yourdon: Structured Design (1979)
Introduced a lot of interesting concepts to understand code, some of which we take for granted, or that have solidified in the collective subconscious of all programmers:
- The concepts of cohesion and coupling.
- Blocks for conditions and loops, instead of GOTO.
